England coach Roy Hodgson has said England now has a degree of confidence after beating Portugal 1-0 in their last friendly match before the start of the European tournament.
England struggled to break down a 10 man Portugal team after Alves received a red card in the first half of the match due to a bad tackle on Harry Kane.
England won all their three friendly matches but there are still work to be done in this England team if they are to build serious challenges for other European teams during the tournament. Though Chris Smalling gave England their win at 86th minutes but the combination of Rooney, Vardy and Kane up-front is still not convincing enough.
Hodgson said they have learnt some things in their friendly matches but he's satisfied with the team and they are ready for the tournament
