Manchester city has been heavily linked with a move with Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte and have agreed to meet the players' release clause of 50 million despite the player's injury.
Pep Guardiola has identified some defensive problems at Manchester City and has asked the club to move for Laporte who broke his leg and dislocated his ankle.
Laporte's injury will not be a problem as far as Manchester City is concerned and they have said a deal for the player is still on the table.
