Ilkay Gundogan signs a new deal with Dortmund

IIkay Gundogan has dashed Man United's hope of signing him by penning a new deal with Borussia Dortmund which will make him remain with the Bundesliga outfit until the summer of 2017 having made a u-turn from his previous turns that he would not sign a new contract.
United have been scouring the market for a deep-lying playmaker, and look to be in pole position to land Morgan Schneiderlin, as well as having interest in Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Gundogan's contract was set to expire at the end of next season, but he has now decided to stay put
