Arsenal to sign Benzema?

Arsenal have been cleared to sign Karim Benzema, with Real Madrid reportedly open to selling him.
The Gunners are even believed to be preparing a £17.8 million bid for the France international.
With Rafael Benitez apparently wanting to use Cristiano Ronaldo as his main striker next season, with Gareth Bale played through the middle, it appears Benzema will be surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu.
Man United are also thought to be interested in Benzema, as they look to replace Radamel Falcao.
